This is a mains lamp with a shortwave ultra violet 4 watt tube emitting at 256nm and has a protective shield fitted. Lamp is turned on/off by an integral rocker switch.
Shortwave ultra violet lamps are used to detect the presence of phosphor, see More Info...
Fitted with a UK 3 Pin plug for operating on 220/240v at 50hz.
WARNING!
You must NEVER look directly into the light scource of shortwave ultra violet lamps as it is harmful to your eyes. For safety always unplug from the mains when changing the tube and ensure protective shield is fitted. For this reason lamp should be kept out of the reach of children.
